Bus Drivers

Schenevus Central School District has the following opening available for the 2024-2025 school year: Bus Drivers (Substitute & Full-Time)

We are seeking a responsible and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to transport students to and from school and extracurricular activities. The driver will ensure the safe loading and unloading of students at designated stops, maintain order on the bus, and adhere to all traffic laws and school policies. Responsibilities include conducting pre-trip inspections of the bus, reporting maintenance issues, and keeping accurate records of routes and schedules. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills to interact with students, parents, and school staff, as well as the ability to handle emergency situations calmly. A clean driving record and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements is required. Prior experience driving buses or large vehicles is preferred. The position may require early mornings and occasional evenings.
